This hybrid meeting encouraged decision-makers and rehabilitation stakeholders to discuss competency-based rehabilitation education in central Asian and eastern European countries. The nine participating countries—Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan—developed a roadmap for rehabilitation education. The meeting’s objectives were to: 1. identify strategies to build political support and leadership for educating rehabilitation professionals in the targeted countries; 2. establish a roadmap for competency-based education for rehabilitation professionals using regional partnership and lessons learned from shared experiences; and 3. identify next steps for strengthening rehabilitation professional education in the region.
