Factsheet: Rehabilitation through a gender lens

This advocacy-oriented factsheet builds on a scoping review conducted by the Gender & Social Inclusion (GESI) Working Group of ReLAB-HS on access to rehabilitation for women, girls, men, boys, and gender minorities. Recognizing that gender norms and roles shape access, use and access to rehabilitation services and assistive technology, the factsheet illustrates the importance of adopting a gender-responsive approach in planning and implementing policies and programming. Building on the facts and arguments explored, a set of recommendations was developed to the attention of health decision makers and included in the factsheet.
